She had had 2 x 2 weeks with a short gap between. She does now seem to have resolved after another 2 weeks so she is booked for spay next week and hopefully won't start her season in the meantime...

But if the cabergoline hasn't stopped the false pregnancy before spay how can I be sure it will work after?

Agreed. Accept the compromise and shah her. Lap spay would be ideal (excellent control of ovarian pedicles)
