It gave some ideas of conditions which I would`nt have considered otherwise in cases with a wide arrange of symptoms. Now these days I sometimes ask ChatGTP

RE: Chat GTP as diagnostic tool?

It's a slipperly slope though

I have heard that in the USA you can be sued for negligence if you haven't consulted a program that at least offers you differentials

It's not a small step to take, where instead of guidance, you are obliged to follow the AI path, much like doctors nice guidelines, then you are merely a technician

AI is not going to replace us but it will help us a lot. I believe that in the future our PMS software will basically allow us to input the history, findings, examination results and it will automatically create a list of differentials as well as suggested diagnostic tests for us to confirm or rule out those differentials. And we will then have AI providing interpretation of those results (ie reading slides or providing possible interpretations for blood results) with suggested treatment courses or further testing. We will luckily always be necessary - to input the data, to run the tests and to tell AI what is more likely or less likely (or simply not matching reality), but we will become more technicians and less "scientists".

RE: Chat GTP as diagnostic tool?

thanks for the tip. not tried chatGTP yet.

i too liked Cornell for getting list of things you might not have though of to look through for ideas.

I also like putting breed into eg laboklin to see what DNA tests are avialable for that breed if faced with something unusual.
