Depends on how you define useless but in my experience this particular one is so bad that you're better off doing vaginal cytology or guessing. It does give you numbers so you can sell a service. As most owners will mate naturally or do fresh AI over 2-4 days most bitches will be pregnant.

I have several glucometers and would chose them over the Wondfo any day of the week.

Somebody was selling an AIA-360 on facebook, used, for 4000 pounds a few days ago. It's what most fertility clinics will have and it's better than Wondfo. Probably at the same level as Catalyst.

If you're planning to venture in to frozen semen territory then I would recommend a Vidas or Immulite.
