Presumably at the moment they can prescribe as they like??

Remote consultations for non-registered clients should have been stamped on at the start.

RE: Telemedicine consults
Hopefully we will see a lot of this so it can be clamped down on (if it is happening!).
Genuine case

I read the clinical transcript

There have been labs that will process samples sent in by owners for years but a bit pointless without veterinary input.

Cheaper to do a consultation in person and stain up a swab at the time.

RE: Telemedicine consults
Is it acceptable for a telemedicine consultation to send a swab to a client to swab their dogs ears and send it back to them?
I think the better question is whether it's acceptable for a vet to then treat the ears without examining for foreign body, polyp/tumor, mites, intact TM? And of course the dispensation for remote prescribing has long ended, and the new 'rules' haven't yet come in

RE: Telemedicine consults

Suppose if I’m on the phone to a client, I might ask for a urine sample but would have thought an ear swab required a bit of expertise?

Or is this a non bricks and mortar consult?
