&lt;p&gt;Also dexamethasone as an alternative, 0.5mg/cat sid.&amp;nbsp; You can use the injectable dexamethasone (like colvasone) orally, and it has very little taste.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Even if you think the flea control is good, I would still give an oral isoxazoline like credelio.&amp;nbsp; I would never consider FAD to be ruled out without this.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Apoquel in cats is now a last resort - there was a recent statement about issues with the safety made by Zoetis at the ESVD conference in September.&lt;/p&gt;

Then reduce to once daily. I&amp;#39;ve done alongside steroids on occasions. Good success in cases like you describe in my limited experience.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Pyoderma common enough in cats and culture and apporpriate antibitoics may be good idea too (although I find if control itch often resolves anyway).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Cutting back nails super short (effectively cut right off until bleeds) under sedation also.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Credelio tablets monthly to cover demodex gatoi as well as fleas.&lt;/p&gt;
