Any ideas?

So

Just heard back from Virbac (sell in Canada but not in the UK). The man said he's not really heard of it being sold in the UK

Pegasus seem to be only stockists. When we called they said they can't get it.

Thankyou for replying though

NOAH is an advertising thing that only a limited number of pharmaceutical companies sign up to, it can also be a bit hit and miss. I get no hits for Continence, but it is available from my wholesaler (interestingly I get no hits on urilin either and it is listed as "temporarily unavaiable" but still on dechra website - if that was a drug I wanted, I would phone the company, Dechra, and get straight from the horse's mouth what the issue was). It looks as if IVC have their own own-brand one (EviVet IncoVet) in the pipeline also?

It's a bit like using medicines.org.uk for general human drugs - you'll get most of them, but you'll miss TEVA ones for instance - better to check licensing site if wish to be thorough.

caniphedrin appears available at my wholesaler, as is enurace, proin does not. Proin ER (extended-release) as a once daily treatment appears avialable across the pond only (from 2019 I think).

There's also incurin.(estriol) as an option.

RE: Is there a tablet version of phenylpropanolamine?

link in earlier post doesn't work as planned.

to check for UK veterinary licensed formulations of a specific drug, go to:

https://www.vmd.defra.gov.uk/ProductInformationDatabase/search

and then under "active substance" type in the drug name (carefully, and less can be more as entries aren't always spelled identically so just the start of the drug may be best).

Caniphedrin (Richter) is a recently vet licensed version of ephedrine if that is what you are looking for. As is Enurace (Ecuphar).

RE: Is there a tablet version of phenylpropanolamine?

The only phenylpropanolamine containing licensed medicine in the NOAH Compendium is propalin syrup.
