&lt;p&gt;I think it depends on the degree of laxity and owner finances.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In my opinion, Orthopets are very good quality, custom made. If you call Rod he is very helpful.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Balto ones are&amp;nbsp;a good off the shelf alternative.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, please advise the owner that some pressure ulcers may develop and pancarpal arthrodesis might be a better option, if the dog is otherwise well. Nowadays we do PCAs without a cast postoperatively so postop care is not as harsh as years ago.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
