I further support Scotrad! They help and would have you sorted very quickly. They are an independent and are always helpful.

You're probably sorted by now, Michael, but I use a company called Scotrad, and they have been great! When my machine broke they came with a spare that day and had my unit fixed at a really reasonable cost.

If you have the space try contacting local hospitals. They used to be a great source for mobile units. They seem to service kit before storage!

May not be an option nowadays of course.

So many suppliers seem to have fallen by the wayside so the choice is now very limited.

We want someone to service our anaesthetic system.

We have had really good service from Celtic, they supplied our new scanner too, so I’d definitely give them a try. I’ll have a check on the X-ray today for you.

Thanks, that is very kind. I have been sending out a number of emails to see what I can sort. Find myself endlessly frustrated by IMV, they corner the market but let me down time and time again. The hassle I had trying to buy some cow scanners.

Ours is from Celtic smr, and they loaned us one pre buying. We think we still have our old one (last used a couple of years ago so not serviced) if we can find it you’d be welcome to borrow it to tide you over? I can investigate tomorrow for you if you don’t get anywhere.

Our CelticSMR unit hasn't broken in my time here. I don't know if they have anything that would suit you or in stock, but could be worth looking at their website and then phoning them tomorrow?

Our developer is IMV and when it has broken they have replaced it with a loaner - the engineer gets in a car and comes up to us, though we are in Northern Ireland, so none of this may be relevant to you. I note they have xray generators on their website also.

All that said, I'd probably do without for a week to make sure that I was happy with what I was getting as will have it for a long time and little things (the pointing beam turning off every 15 secs and needing clicked on again when centering/positioning!!!) can be very annoying over a period of over a decade, rather than rush into it if at all possible.

I would phone my RPA also... in my experience that is the weak link in getting new xray equpiment up and going in a timely fashion...
