We know have a veterinary version available here from a vet manufacturing small amounts. I have the most adorable French bulldog aged 7yrs as a client-happiest dog ever. AED are antiepileptic drugs, 2/3rds -not sure why the R got capitalised. It is a good point re the GI signs-the formulation here being made for vet use seems to be a more purified form-i could see the palm and rapeseed in above paper could have issues -the part I liked about the version here is pancreatic issues not supposed to be a concern-but its not clear what the actual oil base is that is being used. Will have to investigate some more.

RE: MCT Oil for mild seizures in French bulldog with concurrent gall bladder and GIT dysregulation plus adverse food response

No personal experience.

From the paper below it seems to work, though not brilliantly. Effects are statistically significant but if an average improvement from 1.99 to 1.68 days with seizures per month is practically relevant is another question. Probably still worth a try. This study didn't note significant adverse effects butcites some that did fing GI effects.

Did only skim through paper, but seems methodically sound.

A multicenter randomized controlled trial of medium-chain triglyceride dietary supplementation on epilepsy in dogs, Berk et al 2020

Hope that helps.

Am not good with acronyms, what's AED and RDS?
