Me neither.

I would have ex-lapped too.

I sometimes feel radiographs don't tell you much or any more than you already know.

Do many folk go to surgery without radiographs in some of these type of cases, where you have a strong enough index of suspicion based on history and clinical examination? I have.

It wasn't my case. I was with another 2 vets who dealt with it and I didn't have the time to feel the abdomen, so kinda kicking myself that I didn't

The case went to an OOH center overnight and they operated (thankyou)

The corn cobs were found from surgery.

I posted it here as, it's all about reflection

Did you now they were corn cobs from the radiographs initially, or at surgery?

were they palpable?

Was going to say it’s a 4 month old spaniel- you took X-rays first before ex lap!!!

Corn Cob

I've never really seen one like this before but if you look closely you can see it. There was another in the ventral abdomen, but the radiograph doesn't show it well off the monitor

Thought it was interesting as these are quite common.

intrigued! It looks a little like a dog I xrayed that turned out to have swallowed a J-cloth, which then unravelled at various points in the intestine to produce a series of blockages with a linear FB between them!
