He had a swollen left fore limb which he wasn&amp;#39;t using as well to walk with as the other limbs:

I would get some blood work and prepare some smears for cytology and culture. If advanced imaging (CT) is available then this too,&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Warn the client that this may end in amputation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Whole body radiographs to check for haematogenous spread&lt;/p&gt;
