Many years ago I saw a few cases of Ehlers-Danlos like syndrome in dogs and cats- they had extreme skin fragility with large wounds created after minor trauma.
Sorry for the slow reply.

Unusual one - I'm not sure I have anything particularly useful to add. It might be worth chatting with a dermatologist about this as they probably see the Ehlers-Danlos cases. From what you describe some kind of collagen disorder of that nature does sound plausible. I would think you could show that on a skin biopsy but not sure there is anything you can do about it even if diagnosed!

Interesting cases though!
