The best method. And it doesn't have to be a cotton bud. A smooth metal or plastic probe will do.

A vasectomised tom would be even better, but I don't think I've ever heard of anybody keeping one.

What about Delvosteron?

i switched off from Ovarid due to the link with obesity and I believe diabetes! Delvosteron did not seem to have The same effects that way? HTH?

I was waiting to see if anyone else replied. It's an uncommon question. I recall a cat being put on Ovarid long term by a colleague which got a pyo when they stopped giving it. I don't think it's a good option if you can even get it, with all the side effects and contraindications. I think 'proper' breeders get a 'catio' (to prevent FeLV was the reason in my day) and I'm sure some use a cotton bud to induce ovulation and stop the behavioural signs of oestrus.
