I've never really seen the issue with the intra nasal vaccines, and they make sense with mucosal protection. Not sure I've failed yet, but then I spend a lot of time with bigger, fiercer animals.

Just use the oral route vaccine. Very easy and hardly noticed by the patient. Not so good for the biters though. They get muzzled and drops up the nose!

To be fair, when you speak to them, they do point that out. Guess you can't put it on a datasheet though!

It does seem odd that vaccine companies are producing warnings about the live vaccines. I would suspect the field strains of KC would be more of a risk than the vaccine strain.

10ml multidose vial, local injection site reactions reported very common, 2 dose primary course needed, only 7m duration with primary course so gets out-of-sync with other routine vaccs, no parainfluenza cover

I was under the impression that it was in multidose packs but MSD seem to be blanking the practice because I have been so under impressed with their anticompetitive behaviour.

I remember injectable Intrac 2 (I think). That was dropped from the market pretty quickly.

We are getting on fine with the oral vaccine. Dogs don't notice and it allows practices to boycott MSD products as much as is practical.

If Nexgard Combo ends up priced sensibly then we will try to move from Bravecto as much as possible for cats. At present they seem to have done what I expected and added the cost of spot on wormer to the Bravecto price, thinking clients will accept that. Not sure they will!
