Sorry to hear about your ongoing pain have I refused codeine when I've been hospitalised for the same reason! The worst aspect of being kept in I found!! Re my question I did think of it as something to ask the experts but can see it would be useful and interesting to ask as an open post firstly to answer my question of how commonly is it used at all? Thank you...

It probably nothing to do with the drugs you've been taking and I know you only get a pain in the neck when I post, so it's not me!

There's something else going on, probably nothing to do with drugs, wife or anything you can think of.

Take comfort, you have another symptom and another condition! Tell everyone,You'll get more sympathy!

Julian Earl Thanks, but not yet! Yesterday, thing became progressively more painful, but I didn’t want the strong painkillers because of the constipation they bring, then my wife gave me something call ducolax, which gave me awful stomach cramps, then I had a blistering headache (very unusual), then a low grade fever. This is no fun at all, but hopefully things will start improving tomorrow. Meanwhile, I’m wondering whether you should have posted that as a new thread, or did you mean to suggest it as a zoom meeting topic?

I have been away for afew days, going to Goodwpoiodto watch my wife's partowed horse Mehmento take part in a big race. J=He did not wi this time but we hadvery good tme nonetheless. Althought not "into" horseracing the ame way that Annika is, I confess it is far more excitig and interesting when one has a personal interest even if oly by proxy throuh Annika! Anyhow, bacl to the ZOM-meeting, my queation woudbe whether anyone has used the flnk approach for bitch speys or for caesareans in bitchs, the same way as is routine in cats? I did this just once as a new graduate, this being the way we were tauuht t Liverpool. It was awfl, technically difficult and I am far from convinced that it hasany advantages for the patient. Am I rong? Are there some aspects that I am missing? Shuld this be the "correct" i.e. the standard approach for these procedures? Thank you ....

Hello Arlo,

Am I allowed there even though I am retired from practice now. I always had an interest in surgery, soft tissue rather than orthopaedics and I like to see what is happening i practices still so hope to be enlightened even if just for a personal interest please?
