Clinically stable, eating renal food well. The only other issue is moderate periodontal

RE: PLN treatment

Have you considered renal biopsy?

RE: PLN treatment

Although the dog is proteinuric, how are the total protein levels on blood results?
the major issue is the renal disease.

Dogs don't tend to do well with these situations - I tend to find I'm lucky to get 12 months - so I too would be reluctant to do the dentistry

sometimes you just can't win, but probably best to be guided by the clients wishes

As the animal isn't hypertensive yet, I would be reluctant to add amlodipine yet , but it doesn't do much harm as it can only lower BP to a certain level regardless of dose and doesn't result in hypotension so might be worth considering especially if the BP is creeping up

RE: PLN treatment

amlodipine ?
