So I start with GI diets and see how I go. Then definitely consider high fibre. I know there has been an ongoing study into the Hills GI Biome diet (which may have some other benefits from a gut health point of view) but haven't seen any findings yet...

The main diet I find of benefit in these cases is one containing the soluble fibre psyllium. Royal Canin fibre response does. Otherwise you can feed and easily digestible, low residue diet eg RC sensitivity, Hills ID and can add psyllium husks (1 teaspoon a day) but some cats will not eat the food with it in. Any of these diets will only help in mild cases of megacolon.

Regards
