Had been fine until about 6 weeks ago when went lame - not metacam responsive.
Very lame on exam, but very hard to examine with

RE: Xrays - Very lame cat 2yrs after fracture repair

Thanks Stephanie - I'll take another feel at that when have in again.

From the xrays my colleague took I guessed this was likely to be a stifle issue, and it walks bad enough to be and is an acute lameness etc.

I just wasn't convinced on palpating the stifle that ws getting pain there, but perhaps it is more the mechanical lameness and that explains lack of response to metacam also?

Stifle felt OK really on exam, but I guess that doesn't tally with the xrays - I'd wondered if the increased opacity in that area was residual scar from having pins through distal femur and ditto the more proximal patellar position on this leg a result of the fracture / previous injury rather than current lameness.

I'll let you know what I find when re-examine again in couple of weeks.

RE: Xrays - Very lame cat 2yrs after fracture repair

From the x-rays I think this cat has ruptured or avulsed the left patellar ligament.
