Thanks Holly, I am aware of these Kites off the A1, at Yaxley near Huntingdon. Just a few weeks go, we were travelling to and from Shuttleworth Air Museum and firstly spotted four on our way towards the A1 from home. When returning , at about 4pm as you suggest, there was a large flock of an estimated 30 circling around together so presumably it was feeding time? Very thrilling to see that number together!. These were only about 200-300 metres away from the A1 so not far at all. I do keep a diary going back to 2020 when we saw our first one here in Lincolnshire. That was special, perching in a tree abut 30 feet away from our kitchen window!

I don't do anything with raptors myself but I know we have the Raptor Foundation down here in Cambridgeshire. https://raptorfoundation.org.uk/

If you really want a magnificent sight, head down here to Stilton (where I live) at around 3-5pm in the afternoon. There is a local person that feeds red kites (rightly or wrongly) and I often see nearly a hundred of them circling over my garden! No-one seems to know who feeds them but it's just off the A1.
