It was placed in a cast at first but on checking the ends were distracted so I have had a plate inserted. The wound burst early on but fortunately has not become infected under the cast. I rely on paracetamol but asked the orthopod about whether NSAIDs were okay, mine being Diclofenac.&nbsp; Inflammation being the first part of the healing process...? He replied that&nbsp; orthopaedic doctors have argued about this for years but never decided whether the anti-inflammatory significantly affects affects healing .
