I rely on paracetamol but asked the orthopod about whether NSAIDs were okay, mine being Diclofenac. Inflammation being the first part of the healing process...? He replied that orthopaedic doctors have argued about this for years but never decided whether the anti-inflammatory significantly affects affects healing . All I should add is that I hope that my patients with fractures have not had to endure a similar degree of pain if I did not use adequate analgesia?

Food for thought perhaps? Thanks for your comments on this.

RE: A bone plating...

[quote userid="2457" url="~/001/veterinary-clinical/small-animal/orthopaedics/f/discussions/29378/a-bone-plating/225611#225611"].omg...I can't imagine operating in that area!
Strangely enough , Gillian, the surgeon commented on exactly the same thing! Hence he described it as being rather more complex than he expected! But as long as it heals I can't complain. just another scar to add to my collection!
