Presented to us for a "lump on back end" and some crying when grooming perineal region. The cat is a stray who arrived in their garden some time ago, and the owners have spent

RE: Anybody seen hypospadias in a cat before?

Thanks for your thoughts Beats - no, I imagine he's not likely to be the most prolific sire locally, though the size of the chubby tomcat cheeks suggests he's definitely got testicles, not some strange intersex ovary/hybrid! GA for castration would be a good chance to work out where the urethral opening is and whether it's likely to cause him any problems....

RE: Anybody seen hypospadias in a cat before?

If you can feel the testicles just under the skin I would think would be OK to just slice skin over them and remove.
I know that's not very helpful, but no-one else must have any better words of wisdom.

Could take a picture when he is in for castration and squeeze bladder to see where urine comes out?

If you're worried when you knock him out for castration for any reason, then just take a picture / squeeze bladder and wake up to do another day after further head scratch - doubt he will impregnate too many queens in intervening period...
