Not as effective as topical steroids down the ear but the dog's appreciated the pain relief based on reactions to follow-up examinations. Usually carprofen but meloxicam seemed just as potent. The Metacam being oral not down the ear of course! but then until now, I'd never thought of that route!!

Can I ask if the Cortacare is back in stock at your wholesalers? Ours still empty, but might just be a week or two behind.

RE: Topical steroids in ears

Good to know, I do find a cortacare bottle a little unwieldy and tippy-over for a dog only getting a little syringe of 0.2ml in each ear twice weekly..
Still interested in any experience with mometasone also.

RE: Topical steroids in ears

We have been to,d by wholesalers that Cortacare should be with us by the end of the week.
