I treated it with Pred Forte eye drops and after 5 weeks it has completely resolved.&lt;/p&gt;

It should respond to topical steroids (Maxidex). &lt;p&gt;If you get a sterile cotton bud and gently rub it on the lesion then on to a slide, you should get a decent cytology sample to check for presence of eosinophils.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In my experience, I have had better success in these cases using pred forte drops - I read somewhere years ago they have better penetration of the cornea.
