I have a concerned client who gives youmove to their two schnauzers. Over the months, we have done routine bloods and we have seen an association between the use of the supplement and raise of ALKP with no other noticiable effects.

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/jvim.12033#:~:text=46%2C%2047%20Dogs%20that%20receive,discontinuing%20supplementation%20in%20research%20studies.

I also seem to remember calculating (correctly I hope, but i suggest checking yourself or corroborating before accepting this fully) that the much touted study "proving" a beneficial effect of omegas for djd involved giving approx 10% of the dogs calorie requirement as omegas. Given that weight loss, in my experience, is demonstrably beneficial (and the proposed beneficial effect of omegas sounded like a poor mans meloxicam) I concluded that a few drops of metacam would likely be equally efficacious without the calories... (and that smaller doses of omega supplementation were wildly speculative at best)

Regarding the improvement noted, I have no reason to believe this is more than a spurious correlation. Whil the A/lkp increase could also be a spurious correlation, id probably discontinue the omega excess?
