most breeders will do DNA tests themselves with buccal swab - but you can do EDTA blood if you prefer.

PK-DEF , that ones Pyruvate Kinase deficiency

PAR , no idea

Any thoughts on these?

Neil Wheadon From what I can find about 30% of British shorthairs/british blues are blood type B so this is likely to be a very real problem in the breed.

It is always good to contact the breed specific clubs as they have lots of knowledgeable people. I learnt a lot about Burmese cats from the club when my mother bred them.

I can't recall the details in cats but sounds like neonatal isoerythrolysis that we would see in foals.

It is a real thing. No idea about British Blues in particular but if the owner has contact with the breed club, they may well me more informed than I am.
