Does anyone have a recommendation for aluminium hydroxide phosphate binder?
I used to use alucaps but they have been discontinued.
I've tried Maalox plus suspension (aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide) but the dog will not take it

RE: Alucaps alternative

Hi Sara,

The owner has found aluminium hydroxide powder from hyperdrug.co.uk so we are going to try this.

RE: Alucaps alternative

Hi Sara,

Think there have been a few threads on this in SAMSoc (I think you’re also a member?) that you might find useful.
I have used sevelamer, don’t think it was especially palatable and think may not be as good a phosphate binder in dogs.
It’s a shame not to have Alucaps anymore.
L
