It seems our crush cage is not big enough. .
Is someone here experienced in their restraint? I assume they will be akin to A large domestic cat with regards to chemical restraint?

Can of worms....open.

I once did a DWA inspection for someone who wanted to keep dwarf caiman. In his flat. On the 2nd floor of his building. With just a few small tanks. (Apparently he was only getting babies so they didn't need anything bigger. )

RE: Lynx Restraint
IS DWA reg
Zims anaesthesia summaries shows 3-3.5mg/kg ket plus 0.06mg/kg medetomidine as the most common choice for Eurasian lynx. They also list dexmed/ket and ket/alpha-2/midazolam options but I wouldn't see these as better choices.

I'd definitely want a remote system, whether that be pole syringe, blow pipe or dart gun. Hand injections in a serous predator without a good crush are not to be taken lightly. Like Gillian says I'd consider these a step above rotties.

I'd take the dog any day. It only has one weapon. The Lynx could shred you in a few seconds!

IMO a normal domestic practice isn't an appropriate environment to restrain a lynx.
