We have cisapride and oral metoclopramide available but would like something for gi ulceration. Is omeprazole a better option?

RE: Is oral cimetidine a good alternative to ranitidine in rabbits?

Thanks Sonya, we'll order some in.

RE: Is oral cimetidine a good alternative to ranitidine in rabbits?

We get 10mg ones from Summit. We will also use Cimetidine sometimes. but the others preferentially. Oral omeprazole is a pain to mix with water, it should ideally be mixed with sodium bicarbonate to make a stable solution (10mg capsule with 1ml). you can also use sucralfate, if you can find it.
