Hi,
this is a lovely gentle 8mo Chihuahua With LDC 404 that is impinging on 103 as it also has an overshot jaw. The contra lateral side is fine. Is it best to remove 103 to allow 404 room to come out. The owner has already been training for ball

RE: Lingually displaced canine and overshot jaw

I agree with strategic incisor extraction. Rads might show a closed apex of the canine so no or minimal eruption left.
worth noting Rob’s comment. Frankly, you might as well, an upper 3 presenting certain challenges in extraction while a 2 is dead easy.

I think I will get it in for those incisors to be removed (maybe one, maybe both).

RE: Lingually displaced canine and overshot jaw
The owner has already been training for ball therapy which it tolerated really well
Ball therapy unfortunately will not resolve this case as there is nowhere currently for the canine to go. It is hard to see well from this photo (I know how hard it can be to photograph these!) but I suspect that, as you suggest, extracting 103 (and possibly 102) along with a degree of alveoplasty will probably allow 404 to occlude outside the maxilla and provide and functional and trauma-free bite.
