I have been sent a Sonosite iViz which is a hand held POCUS machine to review (my ultrasound machine reviews is something I've started to do recently as I use a lot of different machines as a peripatetic ultrasonographer without their own

RE: Point of care ultrasound machine review

Hi Joyce,

It is a human machine - not vet specific. Been playing with it on my own dog today - was a bit fiddly, with a touch screen, but it may just take some getting used to!

RE: Point of care ultrasound machine review

I’ve seen POCUS machines on tv hospital programmes and find them fascinating. Is yours a specific vet machine Camilla? It will be interesting to see how you find it. I often think a really fast scan would be great, just to rule out abdominal or pleural fluid in a consult for instance.

RE: Point of care ultrasound machine review

Thanks Michael,

I think we have spoken before I've just been lying low for a while (i.e. had 3 children) ;) . I have received your email and am working on a response now!

Thanks Sarah Keir - we've never actually met - we just bump into each other all over the internet and on patient's records when we happen to have worked in the same practice! Looking forward to Coronavirus restrictions being over so we can meet face to face for a drink!

RE: Point of care ultrasound machine review

This is a very odd coincidence, I had never come across you before until Sarah Keir told me about you so I sent you a message via the contact form on your website about an hour ago (asking about a different machine).
