Both collapsed and in renal failure.
How does this happen? Owner asked me and I didn't know the mechanics of the exposure. ( I know the pathology once ingested)

Indeed, my error, I've just check most of teh manufacturers and it is ethylene glycol (ethanediol).

RE: Anti freeze Cats How?

Never knew that.

But not anything like as toxic to you as your double gin...

While proplyene glycol is toxic to cats (I believe it is no longer allowed in cat food), I think it is ethylene glycol that is the main cause of "antifreeze" toxicity in cats?

BUt most modern cars are very closed systems so don't need the coolant changing. It's only folk like me that have older cars (1972 MGB) that do this. I used to see clusters and assumed it was the sam elocation, the same chap working on his car. BUt it could alos, I'm afraid, be malicious.

*As I was unsure if I had a) swallowed any and b) if it followed the same pathology as cats, I had a double gin chaser as a prophylactic measure!
