I've had an email from Bova this morning to say they have now produced a 20mg/ml diltiazem hydrochloride oral suspension, it is chicken flavoured.

Might be worth reviewing the case then? Might be a case of cat got better despite the treatment rather than because of it? Did it or does it still receive any other treatments? Just interested. If you've got more info on initial presentation, diagnostics and treatments I'd be really interested. (Currently furloughed so bored!)

sorry for late reply. been a bit hectic.

Cat was prescribed it by out of hours vet and seems to be better on it. We would have been more likely to use something else.

The Specials Laboratory/PCCA? They have diltiazem10mg capsules on their list - would those be any good?

Neither Summit or Bova do them. Was it prescribed by a cardiologist, as there's not many cat cardiac cases that it actually benefits as far as I am aware? If you can post more info about the cat, we may be able to help with some alternatives?
