Hope everyone is safe and well as can be.
Have a question regarding a musk turtle that is being treated at our hospital (not exotic specialists). I keep, and see, a lot of tortoises, but not so fond of/know much about turtles/terrapins!
Thanks for the rapid response. This is what I was concerned about. I think the turtle is on meloxicam 0.3mg/kg/day and enrofloxacin 5mg/kg/day.

Would you continue the dry docking in this case? Or perhaps just leave out for a short period after the iodine and F10?

Thank you so much!

This turtle is going septic and needs aggressive antibiotic therapy

You will need dilute iodine baths for the open wounds then cover with a vaseline like topical like F10 barrier cream. (as you are doing)

Separate from other turtle.

Consider dry docking (but this can be stressful and they often won't feed out of water)

I would add an amino glycoside like amikacin as well and fluids ice

guarded px

what dose of drugs are you giving
