 The only reference I have to hand indicates 3 vaccinations 3 weeks apart (8,11 and 14 weeks) and annual booster - seems a bit over the top to me, but that is a US reference.

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve never seen Distemper in a dog either in 13yrs of practice but one of my colleagues did see a ferret with distemper just 2 weeks ago confirmed with PCR. Unfortunately, I do not know of a killed distemper vaccine. Since a)the incidence of distemper in this country is low, and b) most ferrets are not allowed to roam, I recomend not vaccinating, as the risks are greater than the potential benefits&lt;/p&gt;

Initially 2 vaccines 3 - 4 weeks apart followed by annual boosters. Off licence but according to the manufacturers, widely used and safe. We do the same for skunks.&lt;/p&gt;
