My last suspected cowpox case did turn out to be mycobacterial disease.

Glad I went for biopsy/ sending whole lumps, not just scabs for virus detection.

So, this was tick bite hypersensitivity (I assume).

Had been a number of ticks competently removed by a vet the week previously from this area.

Got a depo-medrone injection and nodules took a couple of weeks to go away.

FeLV/FIV not a bad thing to add to the package but agree FNA/smears useful starting point.

fna/ smear - mct; eosinophils or neuts to determine direction
