Has another companion, also male not neutered not displaying signs

RE: Anorexic Ferret

Usually need to heavily sedate/GA to get blood from a ferret. I've usually been able to get 1-2mls from the jugular veins, unless very sick or dehydrated. Haven't attempted the cranial vena cava site. Use 22g 3/4" or 1" needles as ferret skin is thick and tough so smaller gauge needles are hard to get into the vein. Tail alopecia is common in ferrets, not significant unless starts losing from lower dorsal area. Beware foreign bodies in younger ferrets. I do full body check over uga in a sick ferret - bloods, urine, whole body radiology. Good luck.

RE: Anorexic Ferret

Hello
