I have looked at old chats and was always told that Doppler machines were the only accurate measure.
Have you changed the battery? Dead easy and takes 5 minutes.

RE: Blood pressure monitoring

We have doppler and it works well but is not very popular or easy. I know practice makes perfect though!

We had the predecessor to the VDO and everyone said it was no good so it stayed in its box most of the time.
I think it has to be a balance of easy of use and therefore the frequency it is used and therefore actually doing BP measurements on animals vs some variation with method or differences from Gold Standard. I would go with the former. Doppler is accurate but needs 3 and a half hands to use!

RE: Blood pressure monitoring

we have evaluated various machines (HDO, Petmap etc) we have finally chosen petmap for quality, ease of use and repeatability.
