Some have been quite poorly.
Has anyone else noticed this and any ideas on what's causing it? I'm triggered to post

RE: Vomitting and Diarrhea - There's a lot of it about

we seeing it as well - non specific - goes through group of dogs, recover and then recycles about 1 week later sometimes same dogs so if infectious, poor immune response but we also have lots surface water and suspect more to do with outdoor living this time of year, moulds etc brought to surface

RE: Vomitting and Diarrhea - There's a lot of it about

Or picking up bugs from all those raw fed dogs and cats

RE: Vomitting and Diarrhea - There's a lot of it about

Or even get Norovirus from their humans...

Human norovirus may infect our canine companions, according to research published online April 1 in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology, a publication of the American Society for Microbiology. That raises the possibility of dog-to-human transmission, said first author Sarah Caddy, VetMB, PhD, MRCVS, a veterinarian and PhD student at the University of Cambridge, and Imperial College, London, UK. Norovirus is the leading cause of food-borne illness in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Not as far as I'm aware (I'm not a big one for faecal analysis in these acute type cases as I tend to find it doesn't really clarify the situation, and doesn't change the treatment plan, but it would be interesting - if it was free!)

RE: Vomitting and Diarrhea - There's a lot of it about

Yes, more cases of vomiting and/or diarrhoea in our practice as well as per usual when the weather is so mild as winter 2019/2020, so far only one frosty night! It may all stop when a proper cold spell sets in. Just an observation, not a scientific fact as this is my 25th winter in practice in Wiltshire.

RE: Vomitting and Diarrhea - There's a lot of it about

yep lots here too on the Wiltshire/Hamphire border. Seem to be sicker for longer than our usual 48h v and d bugs. Often over a week before they are back on form again.

RE: Vomitting and Diarrhea - There's a lot of it about

Yes, loads here in the North Cotswolds!
