Anyone seen them before? I wonder if it would be worth reviewing one?

RE: Portable ultrasound gadget

If the image quality is that good and in that bright light then will be useful but limited by the size of screen and accessing functions. I can see a use for FAST and TFAST scans for emergency use.

RE: Portable ultrasound gadget

I’m sure I saw something very similar being used in a neonatal intensive care setting on TV, as I thought at the time that it would be useful for small animals. They were saying at the time they had several which meant never waiting for a scanner to be available. It does look interesting although whether my ageing eyes could cope with the small screen might be the question!

RE: Portable ultrasound gadget

Seems a costly way of doing things - pay for a probe then also an annual subscription fee. Does that fee include all servicing and a warranty/replacements?

There's no evidence to say the images they have on their website under the 'clinical' page are actually from using this device.

I'll wait until someone has actually used it before thinking it's revolutionary. Lots of these mobile technology things have been developed, not a huge amount used in clinical practice.
