e.g. https://www.waltham.com/dyn/_assets/_pdfs/waltham-growth-charts/pdfs-of-waltham-puppy-growth-charts-male/wc6973walthamgrowthchartsa5lnonendorsed8.pdf would give us a rough weight of 11.5kg as adult

Get them to come monthly for a weigh-in until a year of age and then 3 monthly for the next 12 months and with the aid of a treat or two you might have a patient pleased to visit and get on the scales, a bonded client and less obese patients. Unfortunately this will not make you richer, but you can't have everything

(PS - or you could have posted on VS and got exactly the same answer simply by averaging* the answers! Freaky

*The harmonic mean of all estimates, including predictions of estimates by family members; when estimates given as a range the harmonic mean of the upper and lower limits of the range was used as that individuals estimate; taken to 3 significant figures.

RE: 16 week old pup, 5.4kg - what will adult weight be?
There might be Neil
9.785kg

 Neil

(My son, being of a similar thought position to me would now guess 9.786kg)

RE: 16 week old pup, 5.4kg - what will adult weight be?
Is there a prize for the closest
There might be Neil, but you have to pony up with a guess your highly-regarded-professional-estimate first

RE: 16 week old pup, 5.4kg - what will adult weight be?

I wouldn't bother guessing. I generally advise clients to forget about the weight and the bag recommendations and watch the body condition score.
As an anecdote we have just returned from a short holiday. Husband picked up the suitcase and said “hope this is ok for the weight limit”. I picked it up and said “no it’s fine, I think it’s about Springer weight so around 18kg” At the airport it was 17.9kg. I always compare weight to dog size.

RE: 16 week old pup, 5.4kg - what will adult weight be?

father reportedly a toy poodle and mother thought to a Cocker Spaniel.

One of my many ice breakers in a puppy consult especially with children is guess the weight of the puppy/kitten before putting it on the scales, gets a good response
