Sadly very poor evidence - no controls, not blinded to either the vet or the owner and massive conflict of interest (researchers are the ones 'developing' peddling the palmitoylethanolamide)

Is still available to buy from suppliers with stock, but discontinued by Dechra.

Other alternatives I can see so far:

Pharmox (Dog and Cat) pamitoylethanolamide 400mg capsules (don't think micronized/ultra-micronized; unknown reliability of manufacturer; unclear benefit to being marketed for dogs...)

PharmaDog palmitoylethanolamide 400mg capsules (don't think micronized/ultra-micronized; unknown reliability of manufacturer; unclear benefit to being marketed for dogs...)

Normast (Epitech) 600mg tablets or microgranules (ultra-micronized; reliable manufacturer; not sure if can be split easily, though presumably tablets can and microgranules should be easy to sprinkle in food; expensive in UK?)

PeaCURE (ultra-micronized; probably reliable manufacturer; American; availability?)

PurePEA (not sure if micronized/ultra-micronized or not; unsure re manufacturer)

Few other brands of plain (non-micronized/ultramicronized) PEA available in UK with little to choose between them.

With all of the above: owner unlikely to be able to claim back on insurance (in contrast to Dechra Redonyl Ultra)?

I had to look that one up - never heard of it. It is an Essential Fatty Acid so likely any EFA supplement would have the same 'effect'. Any evidence for the use beyond DECHRA's blurb?
