Put batteries in and it appears to be fully functional. 
 What we don&amp;#39;t have is the manual or any software that may have come with it.

Really a very sophisticated piece of kit especially for two decades ago! Unit can be held directly to the body wall or a traditional 6 lead performed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ECG&amp;#39;s could be transmitted down a telephone line for interpretation or sent to a wireless printer. Sadly it looks as if technology for transmission has moved forward so it is not going to be possible to get the traces off the machine without the lead which appears to have gone missing. Infrared (I think) wireless transmission is also old hat.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I do have one of the smartphone ECG units but it seems a shame to keep this unit in a drawer or bin it as it works perfectly!&lt;/p&gt;
