Sounds good! Sharp curettes / periosteal elvators of various sizes are useful for removing the lining (it sometimes comes away very satisfyingly in one piece, but I find there are often uneven margins within the cavity which can make it more difficult). I believe there is some debate about how important it is to remove all the lining as these are not genuine secretory cysts, but it's probably best to get as much as you can. Make your hole/flap large so you can see properly. Personally I have never used bone chips etc, but if you have some hanging around they're probably worth throwing in.

RE: Dentigerous cysts - looking practical advice.
Incise over cyst, find tooth, very carefully and gently remove it [+/-402], scrape cyst lining, sprinkle in fine cancellous chips from VTB, close gum, xray in 6 weeks?
Yes. What more can I say?

I'd remove 402 as well.
Then there is also apparently missing mandibular 05's as well, both with some destruction and cysts present - only caught one of these on xray - thought these looked less scary, so could either say leave alone until get front sorted, or do at same time [less keen], or even maybe do one of them first to hone approach before tackling incisor-bit.
Well, no, personally I'd do the most important (dramatic?) lesion first, if you really don't want to do them all together.
Any practical tips?
Be sure you've got the proper quality instruments, is all I can think of.
