This implied to me that dogs that had had exposure to Angiostrongylus Vasorum developed some form

RE: Do dogs develop natural resistance to Lungwom?

I've tried to find out and it appears that there is no research on it. Likewise there is no published evidence to help us know if less frequent than monthly dosing is effective prophylaxis for lungworm (Angiostrongylus). Who will fund this research? It is not in the interest of the pharmaceutical industry given that most of the money in veterinary medicines comes from parasiticides.

RE: Do dogs develop natural resistance to Lungwom?

It's an interesting question. Remember we have a cattle lungworm vaccine that is very effective. Course of two vaccines protects for life and costs the practice less than £10 - or similar to 2 months of Advocate treatment.....................

Not economical for the drug companies, I strongly suspect.
