there is free accredited online cpd also for those feeling the pinch - pfizers dental leadership course and dechras fluid therapy. if anyone one knows any more free cpd online please let us know!

Boring? Bah! They are never boring ;-) Apart from that part, thank you for your kind comment. Most of the webinars are also available from an archive to do at a time of your convenience.

I have done several on line ecpd's and they are really very good. Done the 6weeks logical clinical problem solving (run by Jill Maddison) beginning this year and it did take up a lot of time but is really extremely good! There was a follow up course in june, but that was a bit close to the last one for my family life so I will be doing that one next year hopefully.

It is very good as you can plan your own time you spend on it. I can't remember the excact price but it was something round 500 pound I think (work paid)

Drug companies often sponsor evening CPD although the subject matter is obviously going to be something associated with a medicine that they sell. It's generally cheap/free.

IDEXX also do online Webinars which you can 'attend' from the comfort of your own living room. They're around an hour each and I've found some of them to be very good. If they're boring you can just turn off the computer and do something more interesting instead!

thanks guys,

i get 5 days cpd and 1000 pounds allowance but have just returned to small animal practise and just need to get up to speed quicky. i could easily spend two days doing one one thing and each cpd tingcosts at least 400 pounds. currently going to all these free cpd which are quite good

You have to take holiday time to go on courses that benefit your employer by keeping your skills up to date?
