I've used ronaxan previously but we now have doxybactin on the shelf. It is the same active ingredient however it is chicken flavoured.
Dechra had no reports of it being used in rabbits.
Also has anyone used

RE: Use of doxycycline in rabbits

In the end I have actually given this rabbit doxybactin. The client said she did not think the rabbit would mind the chicken flavouring as she has caught it eating the cat's dry food before now!

I am thinking about getting a doxycycline liquid in or possibly the paste Bova do which would be better for cats too.

RE: Use of doxycycline in rabbits

Summit make a 50mg/ml doxycycline liquid which I use a lot with exotics, doesnt seem to taste awful (I think unflavoured?)

RE: Use of doxycycline in rabbits

I hear it tastes foul and I already have doxybactin in stock, As I say I've used ronaxan in the past and people managed to give it ok.

RE: Use of doxycycline in rabbits

Karidox liquid is another doxycycline alternative if you're off down the cascade
