There is a fibrinolytic syndrome which is more commonly seen in greyhouds, see this article.

Hi Kerry,

we used to do a lot of greyhound neutering via a couple of charities, but it seems to have tailed off almost completely now! We have used tranxemic acid on occasions where we have had to do lots of dental extractions. Never had a real issue with bleeding at neutering

I can't help you with your request I'm afraid, but am interested to hear why you have chosen this research project. Is there a higher incidence of bleeding in greyhounds that I'm not aware of? I just assumed they bruise because their skin is so translucent and you just notice it more...
