On the whole having good results, nice clear pictures, easy to use.
While we are on the Nomad, I have a different problem, with the battery handles – the thing seems to have trouble recognising that a fresh charged handle is charged, and keeps telling me it's flat. The engineer had no idea what could be the cause.

RE: Nomad handheld xray generator
I sort of assumed that once the 'cut off time' was reached the exposure would automatically stop so holding the trigger longer wouldn't make any difference.
Yes, so I discussed this with Clark Dental and apparently the timing is so short (0.15sec typically) that once you hear the bleep the radiation is done. So holding the trigger longer won't make any difference.

None-the-less, my first instinct when I noticed this occurrence was to double-check my plates were the right way, and hold the trigger for a good second after the bleep... made no difference.

RE: Nomad handheld xray generator
THe puzzling thing was that according to the machine I had held it long enough – no sad little tune ( ) Try holding it a whole two seconds longer.
That's interesting - I sort of assumed that once the 'cut off time' was reached the exposure would automatically stop so holding the trigger longer wouldn't make any difference.

RE: Nomad handheld xray generator
With our CR-7 you do get an underexposed picture if you put the sensor the wrong way round (not that I've ever done that, obviously.... )

The bisecting angles are a little fiddly and tricky to reproduce exactly every time, but I find the "shadow principle" helps guide me, and it only takes half a minute to take another. Would have preferred a wall-mounted unit, but not possible in the current premises.

RE: Nomad handheld xray generator
