Kind regards

Duration of action is longer than the licensed duration in my experience but may be shorter in domestic cats.

There are anecdotal reports of failure to return to cyclicity in big cats that have been implanted repeatedly so I wouldn't use them in animals that would be wanted for breeding in future.

No first hand experience but some owners who wish to show during breeding season have used and bred succesfully after. Return to oestrus is >6months after implant rather than predictably half a year after!

Should warn potential clients that it does induce a pharmacological neuter (no FSH/LH waves I think?) so all the metabolic/coat changes that are associated with same can and do develop. In discussion with local university specialist we decided against attempting to use for postponing oestrus in racing greyhounds for this reason.

[/quote]

GnRH superagonist can actually correct coat changes that occur post-spaying.

GnRH agonist alone, like spaying, causes a lack of sex hormones However, unlike spaying, the lack of sex hormones does not cause very high levels of LH/FSH (which can causes issues) by negative feedback.
