So this is my best friends cat, 9 years old, male , he was dewormed and vaccinated in the past, but from 4yo on stopped going to the Vet. Never had a problem.
The only thing she noticed (but he has always done it) is like a snoring when he

RE: Experts in Feline Medicine, a little help please

[quote user="Richard Carter"]

I honestly think that a straight DV or VD maxillary view is needed – either intra-oral or achieved with a wide-open mouth.

Sorry, Tomas, I'm not criticising you at all and I appreciate you have to work with what you've got, but I can't really be sure with these views.

RE: Experts in Feline Medicine, a little help please

think there may be a lucency above canine?
I have sedated the cat

Done some bloodwork

Nasogastric tube into each nare just to see the progression, but there was not any obstruction, so, intubated the cat and done some nasal flushing, collected the samples and it went to the lab.

It doesnt appear to me like a rhinitis or foreign body, i was initially thinking about neoplasia but it seems that just the soft tissue is affected. So i did some FNA from the tumefact nasal bridge.

Currently waiting for the results

Here is the xray

Many thanks

RE: Experts in Feline Medicine, a little help please

Tomas, I think you need some radiographs, and while you are about it have a look around the pharynx, especially the nasopharynx, and if you can have a look with an endoscope at the choanae. If no endoscope is available, just seeing what a nasal flush produces can be helpful sometimes.

RE: Experts in Feline Medicine, a little help please

Re the nasal swelling, take an xray and some fine needle aspirates or a punch biopsy if you're concerned, it may just be the photos but it doesn't look that swollen, however I obviously can't compare to before.
